Brent Pace is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Utah. He received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French from BYU. He owns a private practice, First Avenue Counseling, LLC, where he serves a large number of LGBTQ+ clients. He has worked for Juvenile Justice Services as a Supervisor over O and A, was the Clinical Director for eight years at Utah Health and Human Rights, which provided mental health services to survivors of torture, and has worked with a variety of different populations. He is currently the chair of the Practicum Advisory Committee at the University of Utah College of Social Work. He has provided mental health care to individuals, couples and families for over 19 years with a primary focus on trauma. His approach is an eclectic one but he has a strong emphasis on mind-body medicine and holistic healing. When he’s not working he enjoys watching independent and foreign films, writing and reading poetry, visiting remote areas of Utah and the Southwest United States, and traveling to France with his husband of 23 years.
